Open House Party

We had our open house this past weekend and were able to show off our new home to our family and friends.  I was a nice little hostess (with the help of my mama) and made lots of yummy snacks for everyone that came!

I had this cute bird border paper and I thought it would be so cute for the invitations! (Sorry about the picture...it didn't turn out as well as I though it would)

Since the invitations were bird themed, I thought these cookies would be PERFECT for the party!

I got the idea from Sweet Sugar Belle and made my own variation of the birds since I didn't have a bird cookie cutter.  I used her bird cookies as a template and used flow royal icing to make the royal icing birdies to sit on their nests! SOOOO CUTE!

My sister, Casie, came up with her boyfriend, Joe.  And my sister Johnna brought her friend and teammate, Kori.

My old boss, Bruce, came and brought us an old oil lantern.  It was a special surprise because I've been wanting one for a while now and he didn't even know it!

All of Justin's family came to see what we had done to the place since Dee Dee's birthday party in March.  Here, Jessica and Dee Dee are snacking on all the yummy food!

Our realtor, Jim, is married to one of Justin's co-workers, Sherry, so they came out to see how we had made the house we found our home.  Another co-worker of Justin's, Pamela, came as well.

My Me Me came up to celebrate!  Michele was so nice to drive her the long way from Corsicana.  I was so happy that they were able to make it!

And the end of the afternoon, we had a lot of people come through our doors, most of the snacks had been eaten, and lots of love had come into our home!  We've got some pretty amazing people in our lives.  Thanks so much to everyone that came out!  And we missed those that were unable to make it.  You'll have to swing by sometime and say hello!
