In August, Lillie had her baby dedication at church.
For those of you who don't know what a baby dedication is, it's a public commitment in church that parents make to raise their child in a Christian home and to teach her/ him about Jesus and salvation. The church also makes a commitment to the parents to help them in any way in order to raise the child in a Christian home.
It was a special day for our little family.
Dr. Jeff, our pastor, led the dedication. He gave us a certificate so that we could always remember of our promise to raise Lillie so that she would know Jesus.
He also gave us a letter that we are to read Lillie on her 12th birthday.
Lillie received a story book Bible that has 365 stories in it.
Then Dr. Jeff prayed over Lillie.
A group shot of all the family that was able to make that special day!
After church, we had everyone over for lunch and had some good family time.
Here's Lillie with all her grandmas that were able to come...Nina, Ma Ma, Nana, Grammie and Ma Maw. She has one more grandma that wasn't able to make it.
And all her grandpas...Big Papa, PaPaw and Pa Paw
All the aunts had their picture too! The uncles didn't much care for all the picture taking ;)
Aunt Grace, Auntie Em, Aunt Casie, Aunt Andrea, Auntie Jess and Aunt (pronounced Ain't) Bill
Yes, Lillie has an Aunt Bill. And no, we aren't crazy. It's just one of those family stories that will go way back and will be fun to tell with Lillie gets older.
