Lillie's Summer - 7 & 8 Months

So this is going to be a long post y'all.  So much has happened over the last two months-in our lives as a family and in the way Lillie has grown as well.

In June, Lillie turned 7th months old!  She weighed 15 pounds and 4 ounces and was 25.5 inches long.

Lillie loves to jump!  At church, she gets to play in a stationary jumper, so we decided to buy her a Jenny Jump Up for home.  She jumps and twirls and loves to play in that thing.

Lillie got to play at the park for the first time and she loved it! She was so excited to go down the slide and to swing.  When the weather cools back down, we'll be making lots of trips to the park so our girl can play.

Justin's first Father's Day was spent out in Aubrey with his family.  We all went to church together and then had lunch and hung out the rest of the afternoon.  Lillie gave her daddy a picture easel for his office and a book that his great-grandpa had written about famous landmarks in Texas.

Lillie enjoyed spending time with her grandpa's We spent the weekend after Father's Day with her Big Papa.  Below, Lillie is playing the guitar with her Pa Paw.

Over the past 2 months, Lillie has really grown and learned to do many new things!  She's learned to sit up on her own.  She's holding the bottle and feeding herself, but Mama doesn't miss out on those sweet cuddles during her night night bottle.  She's got 6 teeth already and you can see when her first two were just breaking through in the bottom, left picture.  She's also learned how to crawl!  And she's started to pull up on things like the coffee table and her crib railing.

Another month of summer came and went while Lillie turned 8 months in July.  She weighed 16 pounds and was 26 1/4 inches long.  And she's still in 3-6 month old clothes!  She's going to be a cute, little, petite thing.  My mama told me that I only weight 18 pounds when I was a year old.  I think Lillie will be a little bigger than that at a year, but I don't think she will be by much.

Lillie loves reading, watermelon, bath time and playing with her toys.  She also likes to tell her daddy what she would like to wear for the day.  He says that she picked the tutu out to go with her cupcake onesie.  Too cute!

This doggie is one of Lillie's favorite toys right now.  She's giving him kisses in the bottom, right picture.

The weather finally warmed up mid July and Lillie was able to take her first swim in our little backyard pool.  She loved it! The water is shallow enough were she can stand in the pool and touch the bottom.  She loves to splash and kick her feet!

Lillie was sick on the 4th of July, so we just stayed at home and cuddled in the bed and watched fireworks on TV.  Luckily, we had a lunch picnic the day before and got to enjoy some outside play time in that fantastic weather we had that week!

For mine and Justin's anniversary (3 years y'all!), we had a family day and checked out the George W. Bush Library.  We got to have our picture taken at the oval office.  Lillie loved the doggies!

During these past 2 months Lillie also started a new school.  We decided that her home daycare wasn't working out for us any more so we enrolled her in Springbok Academy.  We are so much happier there and Lillie is too!   Her teachers are so nice and keep us informed on Lillie's daily activities.  And we all enjoy the school like atmosphere that Springbok offers.

Hopefully in the next few days, I can get her pics up from her dedication this past Sunday and also write about a funny story from a trip we made to Target!
