Life Well Lived

I've decided to join the Life Well Lived movement!  I've been reading my friend's blog the past several weeks. Her name is Kelsey and she is seriously the perkiest, happiest, most optimistic person I know.  You want all those things to rub off on you because they are fabulous characteristics to have. You should check out her website at http://www.kelseytoney.com/.  Here's hoping that she's contagious!  The world needs it!  Anyway, she's started a series that documents all the amazing experiences that she's had in her life.  She calls it "the other end of a bucket list."  I think it's GENIUS.  When I read her installments every week, I feel inspired.  For me Life Well Lived helps me keep things in perspective, helps me realize what is important in life, and helps me to truly appreciate MY life and the experiences that I have had the opportunity to live through.  A lot of the times I'm a "life is greener on the other side" kinda person.  I try to live by the words of the great Joe Richmond: "the grass can be greener where you live if you just water it" but I forget that a lot of the times!  So with that, here is my first installment of Life Well Lived...

I adopted a dog, Molly, and it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.  Coming home to a dog that thinks you hung the moon is the best feeling in the world.  No matter how bad of a day I've had, when I get sweet doggy kisses from my Molly, it makes everything better!

Speaking of kisses...I’ve had a midnight, roof top smooch a top the Empire State building all while a saxophone was playing a sexy love song.  Talk about living in a movie moment!

Justin and I decided to start a Christmas tradition by adopting an angel from the Salvation Army.  We couldn't decide on just one, so we adopted 2!  A boy and a girl.  Justin volunteered at the distribution warehouse and actually got to give some of the recipients their gifts!

I've driven all the way to St. Louis just to go to a Judd's concert and it was worth it!  Thought of my Pa Pa the whole time.  He introduced me to them when I was just a tiny, little girl.  I asked him to make me copy of one of their cassette tapes.  He had one of those double deckers and made me tapes all the time.  The next time I saw him, He gave me the tape, told me he painted their picture on it, and I believed him.  My mama had to tell me that he bought me a tape of my own.  He passed away when I was 8 so this concert was extra special to me.

I have zip lined through a rain forest.  After riding the mule to the top of the mountain, I almost second guessed myself when I saw that HUGE drop!  But, I sucked it up, took a deep breath, and jumped off that cliff.  It has been by far the most exciting thing I've done.

Ok, that's all I have for this week!  How are you living your Life Well Lived?  Go over to Kelsey's website and let her know!
