Lillie's First Valentines Day
Lillie looked so pretty on her first Valentines Day! We got dressed up for a lunch date with Daddy!
We had pizza at Palio's Pizza Cafe, but our sweet girl was tired and slept right through it.

She sent Nana-Big Papa and Grammie-PaPaw hand made picture frames to say I Love You!
And she sent her cousins valentine cards in the mail too!
After spending the afternoon with the baby sitter, our girl opened her Valentines from her Mama and Daddy. I got her a cute little doggie and some stickers and Justin got her a pretty basket filled with sunglasses, a bowl and a rubber ducky!
Her Nana bought her this funny onesie, but I think it was more for me. I love corny jokes ;)

We had a good Valentines Day this year. We celebrated with Lillie on the 14th and that Saturday, Justin cooked me supper. It was so good! He grilled steaks, made mashed potatoes and fancied hem up by putting them in martini glasses, corn on the cob, asparagas and a berry salad. He even decorated the table with roses and candles. It was so nice! And he's not a bad cook either ;)

Lillie is 3 Months Old!

Lillie was 3 months old on the 27th! She is growing so fast and getting cuter by the day! She weighs 11 pounds 4 ounces and is 22 inches long.
So I know that this isn't the best overall picture since I cut part of the chalkboard off, but it was the cutest one of her so I figured y'all wouldn't mind! Who cares about a dumb old chalkboard anyway when there's a pretty baby in the picture!
| She's got her daddy's crooked little smile :) |
Lillie’s Accomplishments:
- She can hold her head up pretty well! Before long, we know she won't need any support at all.
- She has started smiling and recognizing us. She smiles at me when she hears my voice when I pick her up from daycare. It is so, so sweet and makes me forget my long day at work. My pediatric book says that only about half of babies this age are able to do this so I'm super proud of our smart girl!
- She's started sleeping more through the night. This week, she has woken up for middle of the night feedings, but we know she can sleep from 10:30 pm to 6 pm on a good night.
- She's learned to like taking baths. In the beginning she cried through the whole thing-kinda traumatizing. The second month, she was kinda fussy during bath time. But this past month she just sits in her little tub and relaxes!
- She's filling out her 0-3 month clothes! She just might grow through these sets of clothes the fastest!
- She has really started cooing. We love talking to her and taking in all those little baby sounds she makes.
Things we have learned:
- She is one of the popular kids. When Justin drops her off a daycare, all the kids yell her name and are so excited to see her!
- She's going to be a morning person....which is good in house where one of us is a grump in the mornings, and I'm not talking about Justin ;)
- She really does love her mama. That is something that I have struggled with-thinking that she didn't like me. I don't get to see her much in the mornings because of all the crap I have to do to get us out the door, but when I tell her goodbye, she gets all excited and smiley! It's hard to go to work after that! But I love it.
- She loves to have farting contests with her daddy. And she wins sometimes. For Real.
As usual, I am behind on my blogging but I'll have her first valentines day, first trip to Corsicana, and first over night trip soon! And if our weekend goes well, I might even have a craft or two to share!

Mommy and Lillie Week-Day 5
Jordan Gulalupe and Little Lillito headed north today to say hello to Miguelito's. Yep, I know. This is the 3rd time we have had Mexican food this week. I regret not eating it every day.

Doesn't that look delicious! Makes me want to drive up there right now to eat there again. YUM!

Lillito slept through the whole thing. You missed out girl.

We had some down time before we had to run our errands after lunch, so we stopped by Goodwill. That place was a hoppin'! I have never seen so many people in that store at one time. Here are the gems I found. Oh yea! Everyone kept asking me if there was a baby in there! Ha ha ha. I had the stroller packed with stuff! I bet I looked like a bag lady.
Justin got off a little early that day, so it was a nice suprise! We finished out the day together by getting ice cream and drinks at Sonic.
Lillie and I had a very good week together and we can't wait to have another Mommy and Lillie day :)

Mommy and Lillie Week-Day 4
Thursday was another low key day for me and Lillie Bug. I had planned for us to take a little road trip. I thought visiting Grandbury could be fun or exploring the LBJ National Grassland outside of Decatur. But La-Z-Boy called and need to deliver our new couch so I was happy to stay at home and wait for them!

It is so nice and comfy! It's a reclining sofa with a recliner at each end.

Lillie liked it too!

The rest of the day, Lillie helped me arrange all our new frames on our long wall. I have been wanting to make a gallery wall for a long time and I finally did it. I think it looks pretty good, and it will look even better when I fill up all the frames with our lovely faces!
Mommy and Lillie Week-Day 3
Day 3 started out in Bizzaro World. I woke up at 5:30 to feed Lillie and decided to just stay up for the day. She let me put her back down after her feeding, so it was pretty awesome to have the morning to myself.
I let the dogs out and they didn't bark. Not even when they went outside. Like I said, it kinda felt like the Twilight Zone.
Lillie slept until 10. That was 4 hours of straight sleep. How crazy is that? That never happens.
We met my friend, Ciara, for lunch. It was nice to catch up with her. When we got home, Lillie and I took a nap. Here is a mommy's eye view of the sweet girl resting on my chest.

But our nap didn't last too long and she was ready to get up!

So we played a little and we sewed a couple of changing pads and that was our day! Pretty low key and pretty relaxing.

Mommy and Lillie Week-Day 2

After a full morning of "Mommy, will you please hold me ALL. DAY. LONG." Lillie and I finally got out of the house to eat a late lunch. I introduced her to Taco Tuesday-the best day of the week!

Mi Casita was delicious as usual. Lillie would not share the chips and salsa. At one point she literally looked at me and said "Back off, woman." Silly Lillie. You know you aren't big enough to eat that yet.

But she stole a chip anyway as we were walking out the door. "Aye Mommy! Little Lillito is hungry!"

After lunch, I showed Lillie what it was like to be a North Texan. She already bleeds green and will just get darker as she grows. She told me that she can't wait to go to the football games.

She even picked out a hat to wear and practiced her talon. On our way back to the car, she told me that I could just drop her off at the dorms. I told her that she needs to learn to walk before she starts college because mama isn't going to push her in the stroller to get her to class everyday.
